I normally don't like sappy romantic films but I'd buy this on Blu Ray for sure!!!
Jack Nicholson is once again brilliant in this movie

Back in the days of VHS, I was on a buy-all-the-Oscar-winners kick. I skipped that with my DVDs (although I have many on DVD) so maybe I'd pick it back up on BD. This would, of course, be one of them.

It's more on the relationship between parent and child than a romance film.

Not my fave but I'd cheer on a BD release since Paramount seems to have scrapped all catalogue releases and they have some of the best titles unissued on the format thus far, so yes, I'd totally support it.

they havent , there just being lazy and there financial situation is not to amazing at the moment

it looks like there trying to get all the dreamworks stuff out the way first before moving to there own catalog , remembering they have some of the best films ever made but so does mgm so looks like we could be waiting a few years for films like this one and others

True, but Paramount seems to have all but dropped out of the home video market. They've deleted the majority of their titles from DVD and outside of "White Christmas", have nothing in the pipeline for release in the near future, they've all but slacked off on the TV-DVD market too leaving a lot of older shows stalled.

I'm surprised if they're so down on luck right now why they won't just come out and release one of their big gun titles to help roll in some $$$.

Watched this on Netflix the other day (not for the first time). Would definitely pick it up on Blu if the release it.
