although that site has been right in the past, I really won't believe it until Paramount announces it. It was rumored to be out in January and that never happened.

Don't know why but that month makes perfect sense to me. For sure that will be a first day purchase.

I saw the HD presentation on Cinemax and I was quite impressed, i'm sure the BD presentation will be that much greater!!

Personally, I can't wait to hear this one in TRUEHD

I really want an official announcement for this movie. All of the rumors just gets everyone hyped and then comes the disappointment

This is one of my most eagerly awaiting to have on blu titles. I too will not get excited until Paramount officially announces it. They need to treat it with a double disc so we can have all the special features.

Then when the rumored date arrives and there is no release, we get the "Where is Braveheart!??! It was announced for blah blah blah" posts because people confuse rumors with official announcements.

yeah, and i hope they make a better work at it than they made with donnie darko. waiting almost a year for the movie just to see how horrible the transfer was...

What's more, we have word that the studio is currently planning to release Braveheart on Blu-ray this summer as well.

Agreed. I watched it twice last night. I can understand wanting every movie to have superior PQ but the PQ is better than the DVD and the AQ is far superior.

Why would Paramount release Braveheart on BD when they have such stellar titles as Wayne's World 1 and 2, Black Sheep, Grease and Saturday Night Fever coming out? Seriously, Pmount needs to get off their buns and give the fans Braveheart this year.

Ya know I think Im the only one, but I didn't think Iron Man transfer was the best. It was well above average but not in the top tier. IMO.

I really hate that we all have to wait 6 to 7+ months for this (my all-time favorite movie) to finally hit blu. Next thing you know, they'll tell us that there will be no Last of the Mohicans on blu....ugh! At least I have Boondock Saints to hold me over. Cheers!
