True HD Audio and DTSHD, Bluray Player vs Reciever? - Blu-ray Forum

Do I need both a blu ray player with HD Audio (DTSHD included) internalized decoders and a receiver with those same decoders to run true HD audio?

Or do I just need a blu ray player with the internalized decoders and a standard receiver? If so, define standard receiver. Can it be 5.1? Does it need HDMI input/outputs through audio?
