Sudden Restart on Bluray/HD playback - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,

I am experiencing a sudden restart of my pc on Bluray / HD playback on PowerDVD v 7.3 ultra (I downloaded the 98.9Mb patch from Cyberlink site).I am using Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (Rrev 1.1) motherboard with AMD 6000+ processor and 2gb DDR2 800 RAM connected to a Antec PSU and the LG Bd/HDDVD combo drive.

The computer works quite fine on other occasions with any other file type be it audio or video or even on dvd palyback from the same drive.Please advise

Welcome to the site

Make sure that you have the latest drivers for everything: M/b, Grafx, sound and the latest firmware for your drive. update everything and also double check for windows updates and any new patches for your plyback software. If that doesn't work try a different software player.
