hey guys, this has happened to me only a couple times but sometimes when i buy a blu ray the case looks fine and everything in the shrink wrap, but when i take it out the plastic over the cover art is kinda bubbly, rather than flat the way it is supposed to be. i was just wondering if anyone has experienced this, and if there is a way to flaten the plastic. i know this is an odd question, lemme know. thanks!

ive ordered blurays that have arrived this way too. who knows the reason, probably the handling. i dont know of any way to correct it. i just ordered a 10 pack of blank bluray cases from sleevetown and swap them out if any bluray arrives damaged.

Yeah that's happened to me too.

Was the shrinkwrap the pretty one you see with new releases or sorta looked homemade?

The "waves" in the plastic of the case comes from the heat it takes to seal the shrinkwrap around the cases when done on a less than amazing machine that studios use.

You must've bought a movie which had been opened but returned and the store shrinkwrapped it themselves to make it look newer than it really was.

I noticed that same in a couple of my cases. Probably a manufacturing defect in the case itself.

I hate when they come like that... Sometimes its the paper art work thats wavy. So i ironed mine and it looks fine now

Depends on the "spirit". The movie you linked I think used it for comedy and as a take on The Usual Suspects. The movie I listed yesterday used it to show that the "freaks" were more human than the "normal" characters. IMO both are fine because there is no ill will towards the handicapped. Besides the mods aren't that heavy handed.
