Default sammy 650/750/805

i know theres been multiple threads on this issue .. not sure if theres been a consensus on the answer though ...and i cant find an answer on sammys site.
the difference between the 3 model lines?
i know theres that useless preloaded content and suff .. but they all seem to have 120 and full 1080 p ...
shrug i duno .. im looking to buy the 850.. but i dont think the preloaded crap content is worth the extra 200 from the 750model.
the "guy at the store" (very reliable indeed) lol ... told me the only difference is the audio quality of the tv speakers...

all 3 have the same picture on them. the 750 has the preloaded content and the 850 is lighter and thinner. the 750 and 850 have the wireless function to them.

750/850 also use a different processor I believe and have upgraded speakers. The speakers are a big plus in my opinion.

Yeah, the extra content items are pretty much useless but I bought mine from Amazon and the price difference now is only like 50 bucks between the 650 amd 750 but the speakers are definitely worth the 50 buck difference. Can't comment on the 850 too much but it is also very nice and "thin".

Thumbs up

Don't get the 750.. I got it, and I got whats called the "halo effect" on the TV.. It's where you can see light and an "extension" of the picture in the clear glass around the outside of the TV.. Its not just a problem with my TV, cause I returned the first one i had, and then I got this new 750, and it has the same problem.. After checking the avs forums, I found out that its a manufacture defect in the 750 model, and they all have that problem..

The 650, from everything I have read, is a really great TV, and don't have the halo effect problem that the 750 does.

I haven't read up on the 850 yet.

Even with the halo effect on the 750 sets, I cant say enough great things about the picture quality on these touch of color sets, no matter which model you get. Samsung has really out did themselves. I'm a samsung customer for life now. You wont be disappointed.

Yeah, I've read about the Halo Effect on the 750. I thought the newers models might've been fixed a little bit, but who knows. I have the 750 and have never noticed any halo effect. I'm glad for that.

Oh, i also forgot to mention, you can also always hook up surround sound system to the tv, so don't get hung up on the size or quality of the tv speakers themselves, cause thats really a mute point in the big picture of what you should be looking for in a tv.

Yeah, I should've added that in my post. Although, we do watch alot of tv without surround on because we have small children and the tv speakers do sound pretty good. But, if you used surround all the time then it is pointless.

By the way, did you get a different set The Great Robu, or did you stick with the 750?

I tried out the sharp aquas TV when i took back the first 750 i had, but I just thought that the picture quality didn't compare to the 750 so i went back to BB and got another 750 set. I got the TV when it was only 3 days old (it was just released) and they didn't have the 650 sets at that time (i asked about them).. now they got all kinds of 650 sets. lol..

I'm planing on getting a 650 for my bedroom.
