LittleBigPlanet Dominates Interactive Achievement Awards
Gaming's Oscars sees Alex Evans and company take home eight awards, including Game of the Year.

In an evening honoring 2008's top games on the third day of the D.I.C.E Summit, we got to see a lot of Media Molecule's Alex Evans. He and the rest of his team were in understandably good spirits too, as his Little Big Planet took home eight awards at the 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, including the Overall Game of the Year.
Richard Garriot was on hand to present the award to Evans, who had already thanked everybody he could think of in previous trips to the stage for Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, Console Game of the Year and other awards.

"It's the best blank CD we ever made," Evans said after he accepted his first award of the night for Family Game of the Year.

Other notable award winners included Dead Space, Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead, which all received two awards apiece. The hard working team at 2D Boy also picked up an Outstanding Achievement in Game Design for World of Goo. Ensemble Studio's Bruce Campbell Shelley, meanwhile, was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame, and he couldn't resist a quick dig at his current status, with Ensemble having been shut down following the completion of Halo Wars.

"Thirty years have passed, I still don't have a real job," Shelley said. "And that's literally true today."

Casual game of the year for next year should be either flower or noby noby boy (which I played yesterday for about an hour just stretching, eating and pooping!! Bizarre game )

It is definently a good game, not the best thing i've ever played but it definently is amazing.
