Default DBZ movies: yay or nay?

I've been tempted to get the DBZ movies on Blu-ray (released by Funimation), even if it's just for nostalgia's sake (some of these movies, I even used to own on LaserDisc).
  • However, I've noticed that for a blu-ra release, the audio is subpar. I mean, I know these movies are old but Dolby Digital 1.0 is the best they could do?!?
  • On top of that, I've noticed the original Japanese title screens are absent and replace by crappy English title screens.

I have to point out that all my anime, I want to get with the best possible Japanese audio track, in its unaltered Japanese form (no English inserts). I don't care about English audio or subs, so I just buy US releases because they are cheaper, provided they offer the same content as the Japanese version.

So, I was going to buy these US releases because they're pretty cheap, but considering these issues, I'm thinking of waiting for a possible Japanese release. Sure, it'll be more expensive but at least I'll have the movies in their original form (with Japanese title screens) and hopefully with a better audio track.

Any thoughts on the matter? Do other fans agree with the issues I have with these releases? Any chance of seeing a Japanese release soon?

The Japanese audio track is not altered but at the same time not given a 5.1 lossless audio track either. Not even a lossy 5.1 Dolby Digital. Like the trailers mention Original Japanese Audio.

I dont know if this is region encoded or not but look at this if you can http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeAGIl7DzlM

Since Japan is getting HD episodes of DBZ so maybe sometime later in the future you might see some Blu-rays of DBZ in Japan but that will be long wait though probably

I wouldn't buy them either. Granted, I'm not a DBZ fan, but it's insulting to fans to only give the English audio a loseless option and not the original option. Personally, wait for Japan to release the movies. The audio will probably loseless, it won't have English inserts, and you can play it just as easily as your Underworld Blu-Ray.

They are releasing the Dragon Box sets, wait for the movie one. It would have all the movies.
