now I hope they release the other 3 movies in the 'coffee book' style cases so they flow together nicely on the shelf, but we know they wont

See now I do not want to buy the set because I do not want the slimline cases. I'd rather have normal Blu-ray cases, but if the only other option is the DigiBook I'd rather take that. But not if Returns wont get a DigiBook release. Ugh, I'm torn....

I'm glad because I didn't want a Region A boxset to be the only option here - I just want the first and Batman Returns.

The anthology is for getting the whole set of 4 movies, and this release is the single first film for those who just want that (it is the most popular of the 4 I believe). Warner has done the same with Dirty Harry (anthology with all 5 films + digibook with first film on the same day) and The Matrix (collection with all 3 films + digibook with first film a few months later).

Hmm. Very tempting. If only I could get the other 3 as well.

I'm almost tempted to wait and get this, since I own the Anthology on DVD already.

I can make do with DVDs of the other three films for now. But the book is tempting.

I am just gonna buy this version of BATMAN and wait to see if they announce Returns for BD sep. If Not I will just import it from the UK... I don't care for the other Batman films that Schumacher made.

Lazy me asks if this has a set of extras that play just fine on Region A only machines...

(I'm only sort of borderline interested in getting this on blu, but the digibook option is a turn off for me. (Similarly I was only borderline interested in getting the Superman titles on blu, and never did.) Probably because I have them all (Batman and Superman) on DVD and have never quite gotten around to watching those either.)

That may or may not happen. WB has an embargo on the title with an update coming on Tuesday.

It will be a bit cheaper to actually get the UK import instead of the coffee book.
