Some info on The Machinist: http://www.avforums.com/movies/index...diareview=9407 and http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1687/machinist_gr.html

Does anyone own any of those other discs and would you please comment on the qualities -or not. And is there anything else I'm missing from Germany? I like the look of the extended edition of Crank.

Thanks
I have 'Dances With Wolves'. It's the full 236 mins version, which might be good or bad news for you depending on which version you prefer. The audio for the original English language soundtrack is DTS HD MA, and is very impressive, as is the picture quality. (There is also a dubbed German audio track in DTS HD High Resolution.)

Another good point is that, if the original English soundtrack is selected, the Lakota dialogue is subtitled in English.

It comes in a thin Blu-ray case (i.e. not the thicker type of case used in the UK).

I'd certainly recommend this. There's no sign of Dances coming out in either the UK or the US. Even if it does appear, we don't know which version it would be. Ideally, they would provide both using seamless branching, but that's probably far too logical for them!
