Anybody know if 'The Sting' with Paul Newman is coming out any time soon on Blu? I held off getting this movie on SD because I had previously seen it so many times... but if it came out in Blu ray in a half decent quality I would definately pick it up.

Heard anything?

I looked for this movie for quite a while just on dvd, drove my GF crazy. It would be great if it came out on Blu.

Most definitely would pick this up if released on Blu. Paul Newman and Robert Redford are great in this.

It took forever for a decent release on DVD (just a few years ago). I would be surprised if it came out quickly on blu. But you never know, maybe the work on the recent DVD edition resulted in a HD master that could be quickly turned around into a blu release.

It would be nice to have this and Slap Shot. Uni should do a mini Newman set.

There is still a debate over the widescreen issue of the film The Sting ,director George Roy Hill had it filmed in 1.37 or full frame to look like an old time movie(ala The Good German),it was relased in widescreen in theatres but a 1.85 cropped version was released on DVD in 2005,no idea how it will be prsented on Blu?

Newman, Redford, and Shaw. It doesn't get any better than that. It was such a good movie and deserves only a bluray release.
