Default Question about speaker wire pins

Is it best to use pins on both sides (receive and speaker) of the connection?

The basic answer is yes. You can also use bare wire, although I personally wouldn't recommmend it. My personal recommendation is to use banana plugs on the receiver end and spades on the speaker ends.

Well I don't think spades will work as my particular speakers dont have posts.

But I hadn't thought of combinding pins and plugs. Thats a pretty good idea.

As long as the connection is solid you should have no problem whatever way you go.

rule of thumb is to get as much contact between the speaker wire and the terminal. most people prefer using banana plugs, some spades, mostly depending on your setup.
