Default Samsung LN52A650 & Sony BDPS550

I got this TV hooked up to an Onkyo 806 which one should do the audio decoding?, also the picture looks too dark, I need help setting up this tv, and the blu ray player H Help!!!

the onkyo does the decoding.

how are setting everything up? hdmi cables i assume?

yes, HDMI for every single equipment
Sony 550
PS3
Xbox 360

What about the settings for the TV? are you familiar with those?

i have an a450 and i'm not even familiar with THOSE settings yet
do a search through this forum and others, i guarantee you'll find someone who has posted their picture settings.

i assume you're just going to hdmi everything into the tv and then do 1 hdmi out to the tv?

Cnet has dark room settings for your tv. Just google it

It really doesn't matter whether your player or receiver does the decoding...both will give you loseless audio.

The only real benefit, if it's a benefit at all is that if you decode with the receiver, you'll get the pretty display that says "DTS-MA or DD True HD".

Many people, such as myself, let the player decode and leaves your receiver to perform other duties.
