Default Star Wars News!!!!!!!!!!

As most of us have been wondering, where are the trilogies of all time on these new HD formats? WEll guess what, Star Wars doesn't have plans to be in either field, and that's a dissapointment to all. Here's the article link

http://www.dvdtown.com/news/no-star-...or-hd-dvd/4480

I must say I am disappointed. I wonder if LOTR is scheduled or not?

With the amount of EXCLAMATION POINTS in the title, I figured this thread was at least good news, not news that we already knew.

Oh well, there's always the future! Can't wait to see Star Wars on Blu-ray!

If the originals get cleaned up they would be about it for me. Even then they have to be great for me to get them again.

The latest 3 are an abomination as far as I'm concerned - even about 50% of the Return of the Jedi I could skip thru.

For a money hungry person like Lucas, you'd think he would just put StarWars out on both formats asap. I mean how many VHS versions of the original trilogy did he soak the market with? 4 I think.

Come on now, you know once the dust settles on the format war, the fat, flanneled one will milk his saga for all it's worth and the majority of us will be right there to buy it.

wow, screw you too, I thought it was new news, you don't have to be an ass about it. this was the confirmation from the company, not just gossip, and that was new.

Waiting leads to fear (that it'll be another 5 years),
fear leads to anger,
anger leads to hate,
hate leads to suffering (of being gouged yet again)....

lol funny, but I must say that Lucas could be the biggest stinker when it comes to giving the fans what they want. HE's so stingy with his releases, we probably won't see them until 2020 lol. He milks everything for every little penny he can get. OF course if he was really smart, he would release star wars on both formats for his money hunger, but he's going to make us suffer.
Fingers crossed for LOTR not to wait years.

Agreed. And the earlier three are thoroughly dated by today's standards.

Yeah, the new three are almost like a whole different amateur director with a million computer nerds at his disposal. Their like 3 video games with real actors playing them in virtual reality.
The old three are awesome, but their sound quality and picture quality just aren't nearly as good, but HD would still do them justice.
Lucas quite being an idiot, give us those movies!!!!!

This is old news, I am sure they will announce something in a few months. I bet the preview for the release will be in theaters this fall along with Indiana Jones 4 trailer.

Wait till George needs a few quid again and he'll bring them out, like he did on DVD and special editions and remastered etc etc. All in the name of money.
