Tour of Duty - Blu-ray Forum

did anybody ever see the 80s series "Tour of Duty" about the Vietnam war? I have it on dvd and it really needs a blu makeover. I doubt it has the fan base to be released though. I really wish they would bring that out

My dad and I were huge fans of this show. I still see a couple of actors from that show once in a while, like Miguel Nunez. He's shown up in movies and TV recently.

I'd very much love to see this come to Blu-ray, but like you I doubt it will. Other favorites of mine that will likely never see the Blu are the movies "Remo Williams" and "Iron Eagle." Sorry, I can't help it, I'm a child of the 80s.

Of course now that I've said that, and after having seen the movies of the last 20 years, 80s movies still kick everything else's butt, especially 80s action movies and action stars. Hollywood has gone really cold in that area.

I have all the seasons on DVD. Excellent show. I would be very surprised if this got a Blu-ray release.

I was just always suprised to see some of the guest stars but then I released this was 1987 and a lot of these guys were 90s stars like Ving Rhames, Michael Madsen, and Kyle Chandler (that guy from Friday Night Lights).

This was a good show,but I'm really waiting for China Beach....it's not even available on DVD yet!

I want them to get the copyrights to the original music they used when the series first aired, because on the DVD release they didn't restore any of the footage and they cut out all the Hendrix that was normally used. I seem to recall All Along the Watchtower was played during the opening credits every episode and they replaced it with that crappy theme.

Really good tv series! I own UK version DVD's with original soundtracks. Would be nice to see it again in Blu-ray.
