Warner Bros Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology (1989-1997)

Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology Blu-ray

Somebody here ALWAYS gets big Blu releases early and this comes out in just a couple days.

Does anybody here have pics of the front, back and insides of the cases?

Normally I would have it now, since it was available to me last week, but considering how much it costs, I decide to wait till I can afford it.

in a time and place where the entire world is trying to save money AND think green, is it that surprising the box set has thin cardboard and thin cases? less space=better IMO

someone else is goign to import? how about spend a few bucks and print custom covers

I don't mind the slim cases but I'm not fond of the holder for them (essentially a 4 piece box if you include the boxset info). I wish they'd print the back cover (boxset) information on the box that holds them instead of the partial wrap-around type leaflet. I also like the box for the Matrix a little better than this one since I can slide the movie out with it instead of having to open it. I guess they assume people are going to keep the movies out of the box? Nevertheless, I'm happy to have the movies the blu-ray.

Pssss, I'll let you in on a little secret. Buying the UK versions are cheaper than the US ones.

I really want the whole Anthology, but can't bring myself to pay over 70 bucks for it. How much longer will it be until a really good sale/price reduction happens?

I never minded the ridiculousness of the later movies with the riddler/two face etc. Even though they weren't by any means as good as batman 1 or 2, they still hold a place in my memory.

If the price came down a bit, I'd definitely pick it up.

Yeah I think i picked up the set for 47 or 49 and even thats a bit high given how dirt cheap the dvd's are and probably this set will follow in a year or two.

I've had my Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight up for sale on Ebay for $9 total. At that price, I'm practically giving my DVDs away, but still no bids and it ends in 3 hours. What is wrong with the world today? Not a single soul on this earth wants these movies for free?????

Buying these individually...even if Forever and B&R were below expectations, I don't mind having them in the collection. B&R is one of those Bat films to watch on a boring day.

More like when you're in a room full of drunk people. Much more fun.

WHV could be making way for a box set that includes the Nolan films alongside the Burton/Schumacher films. Yeah they're part of a separate continuity but they're also 7 films based on the same IP controlled by the same studio so it wouldn't be the craziest idea ever either.

I was looking to buy the single disc version of Batman Returns, but it is not being sold by any major retailers as well. There are a few third-party sellers that have it listed on Amazon for around $25, but I was not looking to pay so much for a single-disc blu of an older title.

Thats kooky

These were $10 titles at one point, hard to believe stores have stopped carrying them

I've long since picked them all up, got the Batman digibook and the other 3 individual releases for $45 or so
