Noob Amazon shipping question....... - Blu-ray Forum

Hi gang,

If I preorder a movie from Amazon, how bad is the shipping cost if I want the movie the day it's released? Does it turn out to be a wash as far as price if I picked the movie up somewhere? I've finally become fed up with paying $30+ for blu rays (took me long enough, LOL).

It's more than a wash. I recommend taking the plunge and buying a year of Amazon Prime. With that you can get 2 day shipping on many amazon.com products for only 3.99. Definitely something to look into.

Edit: Actually it's free two day shipping and 3.99 one day shipping.

I agree, join the prime program if you're going to be buying a lot of movies.

I want to but I wish there was some kind of promotion going on. 80 bucks is steep....

80 bucks?! Unless you buy a ton of blu's or other stuff, to me that is rather steep indeed.....
