It will have little impact. Most people that like extras, also prefer buying the movies.

Extras are not the great purchasing motivator they once were in the dvd market. Most consumers now have a moderately sized collection with plenty of extras available. This move might have worked in 2004 but in 2009 the consumer has become jaded with the fluff that passes as extras now.
