Question Help w/ Digital Copies w/out using iTunes

I hate using iTunes so I always transfer all my audio and video files into my iPod using other programs. Is there a way I can use the digital copies without iTunes? When I put the Digital Copy DVD into the drive I can see the video file but when I try to transfer it to my iPod the video wont play. Is there a way to get around this? I'm just not a fan of iTunes and refuse to create an account with them.

I'm pretty sure if it was a digital copy meant for ipod...you can only get it thru iTunes. I could be wrong but the movie gets downloaded from itunes and not copied from the disc it seems.

Really? Cause I see the actual video file on the DVD Disc itself.

Some studios include Windows versions and Itunes versions...

I suppose you need to specify which title your trying to get the digital copy from.

However,.. I don't know much about this stuff... I could make my own digital copys of stuff if I wanted to but haven't had a use for those yet.

I forgot about that. I think I tried it with Rambo and AVP. Then also tried Speed Racer.

But I understand what you mean. I usually just convert my old DVDs to playable files on my iPod but since I stopped buying DVDs I don't have any of the newer flicks.

It's decrypted with iTune's FairPlay system, so only iTunes can decrypt it. And to decrypt it you need an iTunes account.

So your options are either:

a. Get over it and sign up with iTunes - it's not like you need to give them a credit card or anything, you just need to supply an email address.

or..

b. Go without!
