I get daily notices from eCost and I don't recall ever seeing the 606. They do mostly Denon refurbs.

In my experience Amazon has the lowest price consistently. I don't recall ever seeing a refurbished 606 (actually in stock) either.

I don't know if this will help. I bought my Onkyo TX-SR606 at Centre HIFI and tied the speaker system (Mirage) in with the price. I went to a second store (same chain) to see the price they would give for the same deal and then went back to the original store and asked their best pricing. It got quite low and I was happy with my deal. Just hated the run-around.
