Default 720p ok for 2nd TV?

I have a 46 inch Sony LCD 1080p for my main room along with a Sony Blu Ray player. I'm looking for a bedroom LCD TV, is a 720p TV ok for that room in most peoples opinion or should I go all out and get another 1080p for that room? Opinions welcome.

I have a 37" 720p in my bedroom and its fine enough for me. i would think you'd be good, but hey why not go for 1080p if you can.

I could probably afford a 1080p but it seems I could get a really good deal on a 720p instead. I'm looking at 37 or 40.

Should be.. I don't think there's a huge difference, especially for a bedroom TV which isn't as big as a HT TV.

If the TV is small enough apparently you won't even notice that the TV is 720p. Mine is a 34" 720p and you can notice a huge difference over 480p. If you wanted somthing bigger as your main TV I would say go with the 1080p but since it's only 36-40" I would go for the deal on the 720p.

That's just it. You nailed it. There are going to be very few fence-sitters on the 720 vs. 1080 for a smaller, "bedroom" type system. People will go one way or the other. If I were to do the same, I think I'd be happy with a 720 as long as the screen was smaller than 40 inches.

I have a 22 inch 720P Samsung for the bedroom. This is strictly for pre-bedtime tv watching...helps me and the gf fall asleep.

When I want to watch movies/sports, I'll head to the living room where we have the 40 inch and sound system.

Only you can make that decision... For me no... 720p isn't good enough, I rock 1080p. But for example, if I bought my grandparents a 720p TV they would be totally stoked.

I just got a 32" 720p samsung last night for my bedroom to replace the Vizio 720p I sold, and it is awesome, good color, contrast and black levels. I am about 10-12' away and Blu's looked awesome last night, the kids were loving Alvin and the chippers.......

Nominal viewing distance is 5.5 - 6 feet.

others.... perhaps MANY others would disagree with me..... but I don't want a TV that large in my bedroom. I wish I had one that large in my living room though

No TV in my bedroom. I'm pretty against it. But I do have TVs in the guest bedrooms.

If it were 32 inch, I would say ok...but not for a 46.
