Default Question on Optical Digital Output limit
I know from the PS3 that the Optical output can not send uncompressed multichannel PCM and will default to 2 Channel PCM (or maybe a mixed down 2 channel track), but does anybody know the limit for the 2 channel audio as far as bit rate and sample rates?

The question came up when I was discussion the Neil Young Archive project with a friend. It is to be released with a 24/192 PCM track, will the optical interface be able to output this or would it convert to something like 24/96?
