buying from amazon.com questions

hello, its me again, the "newbiematt" XD
since you guys were so "awesome" last time I asked something here, i was hoping you could help me one more time...(By the way, i would like to thank Ricshoe, john and other guys for helping me with the resolution problem )

this time, i was hoping to get some more detailed information about buying from amazon.com
my concerns are about using a credit card, or any personal information in a website...see, i have never bought anything on internet, and these days, it's almost a necessity.

so, how do I pay stuff when I buy from amazon?
i was doing some tests, and I added something to the cart, and they never asked any credit card information. so will they send me the product, and then send me the bill through mail?
how does it work?
