Default Nintendo Revolution

revolution has not decided on its hardware so there is a slight possibilty of blu-ray disc on it. there presentation on the revolution has revealed nothing of importance and they have yet to announce what companies and games will be supported on it but they will have the boring usual games like link mario and metroid

Can you provide a link to this info? I read weeks ago that Nintendo would be using HD-DVD in their next game system.

they wont change their minds on hd since they are all about affordiblity factor of hd dvd..... cuz it will be cheaper then blu-ray but will be slower and holds less space .... but i will rather spend more money on top knotch stuff best of the best and so on... not cheap imitations

Mmm... But about the Revolution supporting HD-DVD discs...

Quote:
A major source of contention was raised when Nintendo of America's Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Perrin Kaplan, announced there would be no HD support for their upcoming system. Kaplan stated beautiful graphics and innovative gameplay could be achieved without HD and that abstaining from the technology would help keep the cost of games down.
So, I don't think buying a Nintendo Revolution, because it supports HD-DVD playback,.... No, Nintendo Revolution won't support the playback of prerecorded movies (HD) on HD-DVD discs because it simply doesn't support HD playback. So... I don't think HD-DVD has a console backing their technology, or is there?

The Revolution will most likely use special discs, like the Gamecube's GODs.

They are developed by Panasonic, but are they 6 GB?
No idea actually about the size, but I thought the size was smaller than a single layer DVD

The Gamecube discs are 1.5 GB. That's why some games counts 2 discs

To have fun with friends.

Wait a second, if the Revolution has a slot-in record player, how is it supposed to read any GC 8 cm disc ? Will they sell an adaptator with the console ? :|

multiple drives is a possibility

however, I would not say the Revolution wont have any market share or so.. I think the Revolution will gain more popularity than gamecube did this generation...

Because the PS3 costs too much and I like the Revolution's controller more.

Nintendo's game franchise is among the best and has a large cult following. they are also doing innovative things with games, rather than just the console.
