First let me apologize if this isn't the correct forum. I looked over all the forums and felt that this probably needed to be here.
To start, I have been an Amazon Prime member for roughly 4 months now and overall, I love it. It's totally worth the 79.00 USD yearly fee. (It pays for itself after just a few orders.) ![]() All of my Prime orders have been shipped via UPS since joining. The last three (3) orders that have been shipped has been a total nightmare. Just yesterday, UPS left my 350.00 worth of BD's sitting on the side of the road by my mailbox. Now keep in mind, my mailbox is roughly 600 feet from my house. Just anyone could have pulled up and taken it after they delivered it. I was at home the whole time given the fact that I was off of work yesterday. The two (2) other orders before that were delivered to a vacant house approx. 1/4 mile away. To give you an idea, my mailbox is stamped with the address and I also have one of reflective blue signs by my driveway with my street number on it as well and yet, UPS still screws it up. As a courtesy, I called Amazon today and had spoken with someone probably located in Bombay, India and informed them of my latest UPS fiasco. The man was very apologetic even though I explained to him that is wasn't his fault and that he couldn't control what UPS was doing. I told him that UPS was damaging their business by pulling stunts like this and to just imagine if it happened to him. I called UPS to register a complaint and when I speak to the CSR and inform her of wanting to file a complaint, I get disconnected. I called UPS again and got a different CSR and informed her as well that I wanted to file a delivery complaint. When she asked why, I explained the situation to her and she stated that the drivers were not required to deliver the packages to your doorstep and that I should have been looking out for said driver. Reluctantly, she took my contact information down along with the tracking numbers for the packages and stated that a supervisor would call me within the hour. it has now been over 1 1/2 hours and I have yet to receive this phone call. How do you think I should handle this? What would be my next avenue of recourse? Thanks |
