Default Blade Runner Question

Today at best buy, I noticed they restocked on Blade Runner... The case felt very juice with 5 disks

But there were two different kind. But they both had 5-Disks. However, one case was as thick as a PS3 game case with 5 disks in it. And the other case looked like a VHS case...kinda thick... Wondering is there were any differences between the two. I never owned any copy of Blade Runner ever. So I will pick this up sometime. =]

zero difference minus the packaging size. the larger one was what the original release was like, then they switched to a more standard sized case. nothing else changed though

The packaging is the only difference. Go with the smaller case, it will look better on the shelf.

Thick case looks really unique.. But the slimmer one feels more densed and juicy....It feels much sturdier.

LOL I didn't, I just didn't want the system to count my Batman anthology as 1 movie instead of 4.

I noticed the change in the case on the current Blade Runner offering last week. Yes, a little thinner now. I do still like my thicker case original, but if the content is the same, no one is losing anything.

"Juicy" would not be a word I would used to describe the slimmer case, but hey...whatever works.

Hmmm I thought that they had changed the case for this a long time ago? Maybe retailers are finally selling out their stock of the original cases? Or I am thinking of something else...

I think that's the case...Considering it is an old movie....only fans will actually want an upgrade.

I am a huge fan of the trend towards slimmer cases like planet earth and the new blade runner...the thick cases and fancy packaging can be cool, but just how many Casablanca-type-cases do we really have room for? the thing's a ****in monster and it's just 1 movie! and speaking of..why is that the only edition of casablanca available? I would love to own that blu...but I'm not about to spend 50 bucks on it and I certainly don't need a box the size of first aid kit

You could try importing Casablanca from Aus. It's in a normal case and generally sells for around $25AU. Not sure if its region codded or not though.
