Default Buying Blu-ray..

some of my family came over from california this week and i was talking to them about hdtv's and stuff like that and i asked them if they ever heard of blu-ray or saw any of them and he said that he bought a blu-ray of the departed and thought he could play it on a regular dvd player and i was explaining to them that you need a blu-ray player for BR movies and an hd-dvd player for HD-dvd movies and that hd-dvd is a loosing format. they were interested in a dual format player because they dont want to buy into the wrong format.

so i was wondering do you know people that accidentally buy a hd-dvd or a blu-ray disc and try to use it in a regular player. and what do they end up buying more the hd-dvd or the blu-ray disc.
i just wonder how many people do this because i want blu-ray to win out and if people are holding back and buying dual format players it is going to take a while, unless fox and disney and our "exclusive" studios release the blockbusters they need to win
