Default Car Catches Fire at Deerfield Township Gas Station

http://www.local12.com/content/break...wbmTfp5Pg.cspx

Fire crews were called to a Deerfield Township gas station this afternoon after a driver hit a gas pump, catching her car on fire.

It happened at the Shell Station in the 9700 block of Mason-Montgomery Road around 1:40 p.m.

Investigators say the woman hit the pump by accident, knocking it over into another car. The driver of that second car was trapped but the pump caught fire, so she crawled across and got out through the passenger door.

No one was hurt in the incident. Police say they checked the gas station security camera and the woman was not driving erratically when she hit the pump, so they will not file a citation.

Funny how we are smart enough as a society to take the license away from dangerous drunk drivers, but yet hand the license back over to idiots like this woman who cant even pull into a gas station correctly!

This should automatically be a lifetime suspension before she kills someone!

When she knocked over the gas pump, it started on fire and trapped the other driver. They had to exit the car via Passenger side door.

Its fine because she didn't mean any harm.

But she was driving retardedly.

I'm wondering what the definition of erratic is and how it pertains to how one could be driving. I mean, hitting a stationary object is certainly quite far from what I would consider normal driving.

All things considered, it's a good thing no one got hurt. I'm not that good at math, but I'm pretty sure that gas + fire = not good.
