question about patapon 2's download only thing

so many of u have heard about patapon2 being download only. so if u buy it at retail u just get a code to download it. but to enter the code dont u have to be on the ps store or in the account management area. that would mean if u dont have your psp hooked up online, which many psps r that way, and u buy patapon 2 at a retail u cant play it. that sounds like a huge problem. am i correct on my assumption or am i missing something. thanks

if they want to start a trend with DL only, and sweep that UMD crap under the rug, patapon 2 is the way to do it. that game kicks serious facken ass.

sony needs to install kiosks at the retailers where you can just slide your credit card and insert your memory stick and download right there. then it'll kick out a useless case for ya

i agree with xtop but think of this... whats the point when you have to go to a store to download a game you can download at home? of course there are many arguements when it comes to that , so we'll leave it at "ppl want their physical copies"

as for ppl asking questions...

my reccommendation is that we make a sticky thread on "How To..." make a PSN account on pc/ps3/psp and how to access the store (along with the psn store on pc link to download the software) and any other direction needed to help them out. this should eliminate the need for useless threads in the future.

well its win-win for everyone. the retailers have a reason for gamers to go into their stores. and people who don't have broadband can still get their games

exactly why i said the arguement could go on forever lol. either way i think its a good idea to go all digital anyway. i just hope sony smarts up and makes it available to us. (if they arent abandoning UMD at least release all games on psn from now on with catalog titles released every thursday)
