Think Fox will release any of the seasons on blu-ray? They've already got Damages and Nip/Tuck on blu-ray.

I don't think it is necessary with The Shield. I am a huge fan of the show and it has that grainy look to it so being on Blu Ray probably won't do the show justice and leave it in the natural feel that we have all come to know and love.

Grainy, yes, but I'd rather have native 1080p than upconverting standard def DVD which will look even grainier. I'm surprised season 7 is only coming out on DVD and not on Blu like season 7 of 24.

I had this same feeling, then again they released 28 Days Later on blu and that movie was shot on a mini-DV camera with even more grain added in post. At the very least it would be nice to have this in lossless audio.
