Default What's the holdup with HDMI 1.3 receivers?
I know this is a frequent discussion topic on the forum, but does anyone know WHY it's taking so long for HDMI 1.3 receivers to hit the market? When searching the web for information all I can usually find is predictions made in late 2006/early 2007 that they will arrive mid-2007 which, of course, is already here, with little to be encouraged about. Yes, I know that Onkyo has one announced, but where is Yamaha and Denon on this? I'm dying to connect my PS3 to HDMI so I can take advantage of uncompressed PCM, etc., but it seems foolish to jump the gun by purchasing an HDMI receiver when 1.3 is on the horizon. Or is it on the horizon?
