Default Is anyone ACTUALLY upset about the new BK commercial?

I was randomly watching the news the other night and they said that parents were outraged at the new Spongebob/Sir Mixalot commercial for $0.99 Kids meals. I personally think it's hilarious.

The video can be seen here... I'm telling you it's hilarious. I'm sure most on here will enjoy it but this also isn't moms.com so...Enjoy and discuss.

I think the commercial is hilarious in potential; in execution I give it a B+. They could have done the lyrics a little better, but overall it was a nice parody/play on "I Like Big Butts" which was an epic song from my impressionable years. I'm totally cool with the commercial, and I'd likely allow my kids (who both love Spongebob and BK) to watch it.

I love it just because it has a song that once was deemed to sexually explicit for MTV and is now promoting a kid's meal. Plus you got the cameo at the end. Priceless.

I'm not upset about it or anything... I just think it's a terrible commercial... BK was doing some pretty good ones with the King, but this one fell flat to me...(yes, pun intended)

BK has probably one of the best marketing teams around. Their commercials are very popular with the target demographic of 18-35 males.

This commercials makes me laugh everytime

I agree. I'm not bothered by the content of the commercial, I just think the commercial isn't funny or good.

Too bad that doesn't seem to be doing much for them, since it seems like Burger Kings everywhere are closing.

nice advert but i think the use of the square gluteus shaking actors threw it away from kid appropriate i guess

funny but a 16-35ish advert really

Honestly not offended. My daughter (who's 4 and loves SB) was dancing to the commercials. However, if you remember when this video came out, there was a TON of controversy over it and the subject matter. To turn around and use it for a kid's commercial just seems kind of... shortsighted to me.

That and the part at the end where Sir Mixalot goes, "Booty... is booty," while he's got like 3 "hoes" around him is a little much.

I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it...Who are they marketing too? Kids or adults. I'm not offended and don't really care one way or the other about the commercial but, did have a conversation with my girlfriend about the ridiculousness of it. Which, I guess is good for BK as it only leads to added exposure. BK has been having commercial issues lately anyway. Had a commercial pulled in Spain recently. When I heard about this, I thought it was the spongebob commerical here.

Oh man, the first time I saw this commercial, I almost died laughing It is friggin' hilarious when he puts the square on the one girls butt and then puts the big level on the two of them I still chuckle every time I see it.

Commercial sucked. There goes 30 seconds I'll never get back.

As for the parents getting outraged over this, who cares about a bunch of over-sensitive whiners? I hope they make more commercials like this just to piss them off.
