Default DLP- no video, still audio, but lamp works?!?!?

HELP!

I thought my DVR called so I yelled at the cable company. I told 'em I got an audio signal but no video! I switched it from HDMI1 to the side input (input 3 RCA) and I stilled said "Lady, audio, no video! Fix my dvr!"

I was convinced my lamp was and is fine because:
- It lights up the wall behind it as usual
- The TV's interface lights up fine, you know.. to select inputs visually.

Went to play xbox tonight, and I got audio and no video. Ahhhhh!

I've had it almost 2 years so I'm pretty sure all warranties would be up??? Bought it from Circuit City (omg dont even get me started) but the price was still great. Sigh. Ever seen this problem? Ideas?

Thanks!

Call the manufacture you never know there may be a known issue that is still covered. Either way you might as well start looking at new TV's just to be safe.

Good luck !

So what your saying is that you can see the menu or On Screen Display??

If you can see that then it sounds like your bulb is working and its something else.

Did you try changing inputs to non-High def inputs. Ie the yellow, white, red?

This may sound crazy but try un-plugging the tv from the wall. Let it sit for a min then plug it back in. I have seen this fix some problems before.

What kind of DLP is it?

Its a 65" Toshiba. Sorry, I dont have the model # handy in front of me.

Yeah, to the post above, I do get the on-screen menu, brightly, and the bulb is clearly shinning bright.

I've tried EVERY input, low and high def.

I will try un plugging the TV and letting it sit for a bit. Maybe it will reset a chip's brain or something.

Yea i wouldnt know were to go after that.

Could be your input board, the board all the video sources plug into. However if your getting sound it sounds like its working.

Yea id call toshiba and see what they have to offer.

Rofl, lucky me, I let it sit unplugged and went to the gym for an hour. It worked when I came back!
