Default Which way do you stand your PS3

The PS3 can be positioned a couple of ways, and I am curious how people are doing it most often and their comments on their setup.

Horizontally. It's a little too precarious to keep it vertical.

Vertical, better air flow which keeps the machine cooler.

As a note I should point out that mine is 6 feet in the air on a shelf and I live in California (earthquakes!).

I would love to position mine vertically facing forwards, but no real place to do it. Could put in my TV stand if I remove the glass shelf, but then no room for my receiver and sat box. Don't really want to get a seperate stand or anything. It looks so cool in that position though. I thought about putting it on my Subwoofer, but something tells me that isn't a good idea.

Mine sits horizontally right on top of Denon 2930ci in an open TV stand. Never had any issues with noise of heat.

horizontally because its in a cabinet thats full of other game systems plus with all of the controllers thats why with my ps3 controller i put it next to my tv remote because of it being a wireless controller and all so i didnt want to use up more space then i need to. but pretty soon ill get the ps3 cooler thats out now well im going to get the one for $35 not the one thats $40 so i can save a few bucks plus since i work at gamestop i get the discount.

In answer to your question......................the same way my wife and I enjoy sex when we're in the kitchen and just can't make it upstairs to the bedroom.

Default PS3 Temperature...

Hey I was wondering how warm your ps3 gets while its on? I have mine stood up right and the top of it gets really warm really fast. I have the attachable cooler with the extra fans that runs on it's on power source, but it makes a really loud noise and the when removed the top of the ps3 is still warm. I was wondering if I should be worried or if this is just normal for the playstation and the coolant system. Any help is appreciated.

PS3 standing vertically facing forwards is the coolest. You ain't cool unless you stand your PS3 vertically facing forwards

My PS3 runs a little warm but nothing to worry about. I can easily put my hand on the unit and have it not hurt. I don't have the attachable cooler and from what I heard, it is really not needed. That's just my opinion
