Awesome Reciever Deal!!

I noticed this on Amazon.com today.

The Denon AVR-2808CI is on sale for $598

I have this receiver and at this price it is a STEAL. Not sure if any of you are in the market for an AVR but if so.... get this!!!

BTW I would recommend Denon over Onkyo any day! Just my opinion.

Does it have pre-outs? I cant tell from the specs listed on Amazon.....by the way....I think they may move this thread to the Receivers and Amps or Hot Deals forums for a better response.....

Ughhhh.......my hand and index finger are starting to think for themselves and they seem to be moving the mouse around a good bit.......this is not good.......

well it does seem like a pretty good deal but the receiver is a few years old and only has 2 HDMI inputs so I am guessing it is discontinued, which would explain the sale.
not sure if that helps or hurts your decision process

I only have the DVR and Panny BD30 running to my 605 now so it would still be OK.....mmmmm

Plus you might need to find a Steel "Cup" to make sure the "boys" don't find themselves at the end of this... or this even

Well it is not quite 2 years old but who cares? Sure it only has 2 HDMI inputs but really that is not a problem. Denon makes a great product and it looks and sounds fantastic! I have 3 HDMI inputs on my TV so I am using the 2 HDMI inputs on my receiver for the HD-DVD and BLU-RAY players. Then I use the other 2 HDMI inputs on my TV for the HD-DVR and XBOX 360... those do not do Hi-Def audio so I use an optical cable for those. Bottom line 2 HDMI inputs can be worked with and this receiver will blow anything else in that price range away.
