USA Where are the chapter inserts/adverts in my Blu's?

Has anyone notice that when blu ray's first started you would get the credit sheet or the scene overview of the movie sheet. Sometimes you would get a nice booklet of some sort of the movie. Now you get nothing & two empty clips to hold what use to be there. I know some people just care for the movie, but I personaly like to get anything they can put in the case to get my money's worth! DVD started like this too. I just dislike when company's do this. What do you guys think?

I wish they would at least have a piece of paper with the chapter lists, but it doesn't really bother me. It's not like that piece of paper would cost much, and most DVDs had them. Always seem to get the sheet explaining that the disc might not work with your player if your firmware isn't current.

You don't need chapter cards with Blu-ray. Just use the pop-up menu button on your players remote.

I like how some of them (one company) put the chapters on the back of the outer cover. You can see it through the case and then it doesn't get lost so easily.

I don't think thats the point, we know that. He's just saying that whatever happened to the paper inserts he wants to feel like he's getting his moneyies worth, then again who wouldn't want that.

I was wondering about this myself. I don't need a lot of useless stuff that I'll never read, but a single page with the chapter list would be nice. And I could do without the little paper that says the blu may not play if my firmware isn't up to date.

I don't need a piece of paper to make me feel I'm getting MY moneys worth. I agree, with dvd, the chapter inserts were great and even needed. However with Blu-ray, they simply aren't needed. Less paper is good IMO. Blu-ray is already giving you the best video/audio experience available. To ME that's worth MY money.

Most major studios quietly discontinued paper inserts on a majority of their titles a few years ago.

Unless it was a booklet with cool photos or useful info, I didn't find the value in them. I never once found myself looking up chapter info on the insert, I always used the menu on the disc.

I know its a little off path, I personally throw away all paper on the inside of the case, except for digital copy codes. I don't even know why I keep those, I have never used one. I hate having to take a piece of paper out to get to a second disc.

On a side note, has anyone seen the new Elite cases. There's Something About Mary is in one of them. They are so flimsy, whats with all the cutouts on the front and back.

+1

I guess I just don't understand why anyone would consider a piece of worthless paper inside the case "getting their money's worth." I strongly prefer no inserts and I usually get rid of them immediately, especially when they're just advertisements or "firmware update might be required" reminders. To me, they're just an annoyance.

A substantive booklet (with content like the WB digibooks or some of the Criterion inserts), on the other hand, is more than welcome.
