http://hhgregg.com/weeklyAd.asp?SID=...CE4ED1A#script

HHGregg is running a promotion this week, if you buy any HDTV $999 & up you will instantly get a free HD DVD player (HD-A2) and 5 free HD DVDs by mail.

The word of the week for Toshiba...Desperate.

I guess they figure they might as well get people to buy TV's while their HD DVD players still have some value....

The word of the week for Toshiba...Desparate.
Actually, I think Sony should do that also with some of their newest HDTVs that are coming out. It would promote sales of those wonderful HDTVs as well as promote Blu-ray BIG-TIME.

Wow, and I thought the email I got from Vanns was bad - $200 rebate on any Toshiba HD DVD player (like there is any other one) when you purchase a 42" or larger Toshiba HDTV. In big bold letters it said 'Get an ULTIMATE Movie Machine for only $199.99'

And of course, the 5 free HD DVDs - hilarious.

He has a 720p TV for 999 right next to it. It sounds like a great deal for someone who doesn't know what they are buying.

It just reinforces our belief that HD-DVD users are ignorant. (uhhh, with the exception of dual format users )
