Receiver upgrade? - Blu-ray Forum

So i was looking to upgrade my Samsung receiver to the one included in there new HTIB Samsung HT-AS730ST. Is this possible? If so where could I get it at?

I don't think that receiver is sold as a standalone.

After looking at the specs, I don't see any way that unit would be an upgrade either.

I really hate to say it, I am getting it only based on the look. Is has pretty much the same specs as my older receiver.

I wouldn't have had the guts to say that here.

Any chance of getting a receiver with good stuff under the hood and placing it in a way that you don't see its ugly skin? Maybe behind cloth that a remote can penetrate or something?

The receiver in the OP looks to be a couple of generations old, technology wise. And weak.

I am a Sammy supporter and there receivers arent high end. I dont need anything high end. I live in an apartment and the walls are paper thin.
