Default Q Entertainment bringing another MMORPG to PS3

Remember Angel Love Online?

Q Entertainment's bringing a second 2D MMORPG to PS3 with Angel Senki Online. They're classing this as a Battle Action MMORPG.

Probably won't appeal strongly and release in the west but it adds to the growing worldwide lineup of MMOG's from Q? (2), KOEI (1), SoE (3), and unannounced games from NCsoft.

Q's New MMORPG for PS3
From Angel Love Online to Angel Senki.
Quote:
US, May 15, 2009 - Q Entertainment is probably best known for Lumines and Meteos, but in Japan they also publish free-to-play MMORPGs for PCs. This became of great importance to PS3 owners late last year when the company released one such title, Angel Love Online, on the PS3, giving the system its first free-to-download, item-based game.

Apparently, this experiment proved a success, as Q announced today a second such title for the PS3. Titled Angel Senki, the new game is being developed by Angel Love Online's Taiwanese developer UserJoy Technology for both the PC and PS3.

The PC version is still not available for play in final form. May 27 will see the start of a closed beta test for this version. With the PS3 version set to become available this Fall, we imagine Q is aiming to offer the two versions of the game close to one another.

As with Angel Love Online, Angel Senki will be totally free to download and play. Q will make money on item transactions.

Also similar to that title, the PC and PS3 versions of the game will use the same servers, so players will be able to adventure together.

These plans are exclusively for the Japanese market. We'll be sure and let you know if someone considers bringing any game with the word "Angel" in its title to international markets.

Sure as long as you can figure out how to work the main menu since the main menu and pretty much everything about it is like unreadable to Americans.

On a side note I did download the American version of Angels Love Online for my PC in English but just wish it would of got an American release as well for PS3.

PSN is a great platform for MMOs. I am a little fearful that too many free MMOs will lead to a severe money hemorrhage for Sony and their server upkeep...which could lead to bad things. I sure hope I'm wrong though.

Well these Angel series MMOs are free to download on PC so it's kind of like well should be free on PS3 as well. If Q? would start charging for these Angel MMOs games then people would complain and would just rather have the PC version instead.(Of course us Americans have really no choice anyways to just use the PC version unless you can understand what the heck the main menu is saying.
