Default Complaint about my Blu-ray player not retaining start-up position when paused/stopped

Let me begin with that blue-ray movies have the best quality picture and sound so far.

However I discoverd a fault on several blue-ray disc on which my bloodpressure starts to rise.

For example, I played the movie "Gandhi" yesterday for the first time and after 2 hours and 14 min I stopped the player for a short while to do something else after I returned to continue the movie by pressing start on my remote it did'nt started at the point mentioned above but at the beginning of the Sony's logo and their blue-ray preview. In other words I had to wait or go to the main menu to select scene selection to find the proper scene to continue.

With a normal dvd is an other story each time you stop playing anywhere in the movie and want to resume it always starts at the point you have left.

Why can't they do the same option for blue-ray?

At this moment as far as I know there are two moviecompany's handle this awful habit namely Sony pictures with "Gandhi" and 20th century fox with "The Robe".

Does anyone of you know where I can file a complain?

Many thanks.

Sincerely yours,
Egbert1234
