I hope they are available individually too. I would love to get 'Hunt for Red October'. I'm not sure about the others; would have to rent them first. But the announcement as such is certainly good news.

Is this a boxed set? I hope not bc I'd pick up The Hunt for Red October, but would pass on the others.

The very last one wasn't anything to write home about but the others are very cool. I'm in for the lot.

Default Hunt For Red October

I have HFRO on DVD, but it's not anamorphic, so the transfer pretty much sucks. I sure hope this is not a box set, because I will buy this one title in a second.

Paramount has a long history of having films only available in a boxset initially. I bet the Jack Ryan collection will only be a boxset this Fall, and then we'll see separate releases in 2Q08. I'm only interested in Patriot Games.

EDIT: I should add that I will definitely be buying Face/Off and Top Gun too. Top Gun is rumored to have a PCM track.

YES. I love these movies. Can't wait to pick them up. I hope Paramount does them justice.

I'd just say just about every Paramount disc announced on the front page are must-buys for me, including these three.

The Harrison Ford films are terrific. I didn't really care for Hunt.

Hell yeah! I'll be picking up all but the Affleck Jack Ryan movie (it still makes me shudder to say that) if I have a choice. Even if it is a box set though, three out of four isn't bad! Awesome news and kudos to Paramount for this...now bring on Braveheart, Titanic and Indy (although I'm sure that'll come with the new movie next year)!

But now we have to look at this... The DVD's for the first 3 have DTS tracks on them. Are we going to get anything better than regular Dolby Digital for these Blu-Rays? Or is it still just going to be the same crap Paramounts been giving us (aside from their earlier releases with the DTS tracks on there).

The only way I will pick up any of these discs is if they come with a lossless soundtrack on them. I stopped buying any discs that don't have lossless audio on them.

I LOVE THOSE FILMS!!! Actually I just saw them in December when I bought my widescreen set but I'll watch them again. Maybe I'll buy the set at sale price then wait a while. Sum of All Fears is actually the only Ben Affleck film I like him in and Red October is THE sub movie
