So I returned the si and go the G-10, now I payed $21.60 more for it, Well The G-10 went down to $1499. So I got the $21.60 back , Mind you its only been two weeks , well this morning I found the Pioneer 5010FD at Sams club for yeah you guessed it $1,499. My ? Should I retuen the Panny G-10 and BUY the Pioneer 5010FD for the same amount, I like the G-10 ,But my biggest issue is with HD tv, a pain for changing formats and the internal speakers sucks for reg, TV, I looked at the Pioneer and it is awesome looking, , Man I dont know what to do, they had two of them so I need to act fast . Any help & I would be greatful.. LMK thanks jeff

Hello
When it' all said and done, the Panasonic is the safest bet. Very difficult to qualify responsibly at this time though, as there are so many considerations. However, I do think that in the long run, as information evolves, that the Pioneer would be a regretful purchase. Thank You Last edited by jibucha; 05-19-2009 at 04:27 PM. Reason: editing |

I think the G10 is better than the 5010. Is it not the 5020 that is "on par" with the G10?
I have been looking at these displays as well and I thought that is the understanding. I do love the Pioneer look though... so nice. |

I like the Pioneer auto 72HZ refresh rate with 1080p/24 material and the deep blacks on the Pioneer. If you are happy with your Panasonic at 60Hz then you might want to just keep the display. Back in 2007 the Pioneer PDP-5010FD had a list price of $5,000 and that was the going price when it first came out. Around $1,500 is a bargain if that price is for a brand new one and not a refurbushed item.

Hello
As this remarkable product has been brought up; here we go! Now this is interesting; actually, my expectations are so high for it over all other plasmas, especially including the Pioneer Elites, that I am buying ASAP, after researching plasma for about seven months now. I am simply waiting for it to be available in the coming months. Well, just some thoughts; as it was introduced to this thread. It really does seem keep the Panasonic G10 would be the best option based on most available information. Thank You |

Hey guys , I want to thank everyones input, I knoe the pioneer is a pretty good deal, and It's a n OCD thing , thinking its a better Plasma, As alot of you pointed out to just keep the G-10, which I think I'm just going to do, Because it's a newer model , also never know whats coing down the road, I really want the pioneer because of all the good reviews from everyone says that they are so great, I dont think they are refurbished, they were brand new in the box, sealed, I wish I could but it also , but thats not going to happen, the wife thinks I'm insane, and wants to know when its going to stop, and will I ever just be happy , LOL as for the V-10 the price on thats alot more, I really wanted to stay under $1,500.00 and thats what I have done, Hey I'll wait and maybe they will cut the price even more, right? Thanks agina for all the help, I'd like to keep this post running to see any more ideas, I live in a small area so , and not alot of pepole running down to get a new TV, so I might have a little time still,, have a good one ,m jeff
