24 case question - Blu-ray Forum

Okay, I just picked this one up. However, if anyone remembers the original Blade Runner Blu-Ray and how bulky it was, 24 Season 7 is the same way. I was just wondering if different stores had different variations of the the case, like a slimmer version.

its a 6 disc set, its a little hard to get the size down.

It's on BR and STILL a 6 disc set!? good god. Are they even dual layer BR discs? Probably not.

They are dual layer discs, but the special features are spread throughout the six discs and there are 4 episodes per disc.

You can only fit 4 Ep max on a DUAL BD50.. 4EP is 3 hours witch i consider personally the top a DL disc can take with a full 16x9 picture. More than that and you're in the Macroblocking business imho.

There's a good 3+ hours of 1080p footage of each disc. With 24 episodes, you need that many discs. HD video and audio takes up a lot of space, remember.

All of the cases are likely the same. I haven't seen anything but the thick cases for this.
