PS2 controller on the PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

alright, I just read the sixaxis thread below and this is the 1st I've heard of PS2 controllers working on the PS3....let alone the sixaxis working PS2 games?

1st question...

does anyone here have MLB: The Show for the PS3?...and if you do, does it have the rumble feature for if I hooked my PS2 controller up to it?...

2nd question..

in what way does the sixaxis work with PS2 games...

these 2 bits of info just blew me away....any help is greatly appreciated..

You can definately play ps2 games on the ps3. (where have you been?)

I have heard you can use ps2 controllers on the ps3, but I have never seen a ps2 to usb converter, so I don't know!

I don't think the sixaxis feature does anything on ps2 games, but you just use it a you would normally on a ps2 to play any of those games on a ps3.

I know you can play ps2 games...I have GoW2

edit: I just want to know if any PS3 games support the rumble feature of PS2 controllers...

I hate the fact that The Show doesn't rumble when you are leaving the strike zone..

At our walmart, they have an item that imitates the sixaxis for the ps2 controller. i havent bought it but it looks like a jacket that goes on it and such and other. is this what you mean? Ill try to get pictures tomorrow.

The only PS3 game that I'm aware of with rumble is Gran Turismo HD.

I believe any PS2 game with rumble will do the trick as well (w/ PS2 controller).
