Default PSP <-> PS3 Remote Connection Question

My old Linksys router died on me, so I bought a Belkin ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1182557691250 ).

I thought, since it is on the expensive side, my PSP <-> PS3 Remote Connection will work seamless through my local network with no lag.

It seems that it has even worse lag than my old linksys router. That, and I have to turn all my settings low so my picture quality is crap. Even then, it still disconnects.
I live in a 2 bedroom apartement, its not like I live in a huge house.

For all of you who use the PSP Remote Connection via Network, are you satisfied? What router do you recommend?

Also, is there anything I can do to speed up my new router?

Other than B Wireless, what should I be looking for?
I have 2x laptops, my imac, Wii, 360 and PS3 to connect.

I'll go to Fry's since they'll have a larger selection.

what i mean to say is, the psp is using a slow version of 802..so its going to be slow no matter what. i cant even use remote play for psn games when i'm sitting right next to the router. its just laggy no matter what, not unplayable, but hardly useful

depending on how much you wanna spend, you might as well buy a N router

I have a Linksys Wireless N Router (even though PSP is i believe B Signal) i have:

(2) Laptops
(1) XbotFail60
(1) PS3
(4) Regular Home PC's

and my PSP leeching off the network and i dont seem to get any lag.. maybe im just in a a good neighborhood? call the cable company and make sure the signal coming from your Modem to the Router is about 85% anything less will increase lag.

I remember before when i had issues with the internet the cable company came to check it out and said we were only receiving 40% of the packets they were sending us, meaning our signal was shot, so they gave us a new modem and we are fine... never changed the router just the modem

something to look into

I paid for my modem so I wouldn't have to rent. I've been using it for a few years now.
So I should buy a new modem?

RESET your modem.
not a 'soft reset' but you hold the reset button in for like 45 seconds
