Default Remote Play help - PS3/PSP

Have a question about the PSP Remote Play..

I can view and operate my PS3 through my PSP no problem while I'm at home (Connect via Private Network then Playstation(R)3) and brilliantly there it is on my PSP. I can watch videos and play games (High Stakes on the Vegas Strip:Poker Edition works perfectly by the way! Stored on my PS3 but i can play it on my PSP!) Anyway, i was away from home today and tried to connect to the PS3. I tried connecting the way i normally did it (above) but no joy, so then i connected via Internet connection but got an error. The WiFi signal picking up was only about 50%. I then came home and tried connecting via the internet (instead of Private Network), picked my internet connection and again it doesnt work. What am i doing wrong??

Thanks a mil,

Gar

yes i did all that.. pretty much did everything step by step.. works perfectly when connecting privately thru my PS3 but using an internet connection i get as far as the "sign in" page then the black screen that says "Please wait. Connecting should take no more than 90 seconds."

i suggest you to delete your PSP from the register list and start all over again. You must activate first then register your psp.

You might have to open a port on your firewall/router, not something that I have much experience with.

On the PS3:

Settings > Network Settings > Settings and Connection Status List

What does it say here for UPnP and NAT Type?

There is a check box under remote play settings on the PS3 that has to be enabled for remote play over the internet I believe. Do you have that checked?

Remote Start is for if you want to leave your PS3 in standby and have it start up automatically when the PSP connects to it over the net.

Default PSP Remote Play question

Whenever I try to connect my PSP over an internet connection it always times out. Once I finally get it to turn on I can turn the PS3 off and have all the control. It just never seems to want to turn on. Do I have to change a setting? How do I get it to turn on everytime?
