Star Trek Original Series Season 1 $59.83 at Walmart in Canada - Blu-ray Forum

I just cancelled my Future Shop order after picking up my copy at the local Walmart. The stickers on them say $83 or something like that but they scan up at $59.83. Someone mentioned in the BB thread about seeing this and I can confirm that this morning they are indeed that price.

It's pretty hard to beat this price considering it is lower than amazon.com but in Canadian dollars and miles lower than anywhere else in Canada.

Can confirm that I got this price.

Not only did I save $12, but the goods are in my hand and undamaged. Better than waiting for FS and Canada Post.

I have the HD DVD set, and must recommend this new (& improved) Blu-ray edition... especially at that price! If you were even on the fence about whether or not to get it, just buy it. Now!

Thanks for the hot tip. Canceled my FS order and picked up a copy at my nearest Wal-Mart. Toronto, Duffrin Mall for those that are still looking. They had a few other copies, all locked up behind glass. Which I normally hate but I think it helped it still being in stock.

Did anyone notice this today for the same price at Walmart? I'm thinking that if it was a pricing mistake they would have figured it out by now.

After watching 4 episodes so far and realizing that there are 25 more and over 24 hours of 1080p footage in total in this set I am totally amazed at what we get here for $59.

I sure hope that seasons 2 and 3 are similarly priced. I never dreamed that I could own all of the series and original movies in HD for a relatively reasonable price.

Just got mine at the Aurora Walmart. They still have 3 left, and they are on the regular BR rack (NOT locked up in glass case).

And there is a free SULU figure offer (but with 7.50 S&H) inside!

This doesn't appear to be a pricing error. I just saw a good number of copies priced at 59.83 right beside the new movie collection sets which also have a very good price on them of $79.83.

I just went into Wal-Mart today and picked up S1 of ToS for the $59.83 price so it's still available. I normally wouldn't step foot in a Wal-Mart store, but that price was tempting enough and a store was actually close enough to get to. (The rest of Wal-Mart BD pricing, though, is worse than a lot of other places.)

I went to Best Buy today and picked up a copy for $49.99! I think it was a mistake though, but I'm glad I waited.
