Default Please don't laugh - a question about Lost

First off, I am probably the last person on Earth who has NEVER seen a single episode of Lost. I always wanted to but never got around to it for some reason. Now that I can get the seasons on BD at a decent price I just have one question: Is it worth a blind buy?

I loved JJ Abrams other series, Alias. Yes, it did degenerate after Season 3, but I still enjoyed it to the end. Is Lost in the same class as Alias in terms of writing? Has it gone down hill over the years or has the quality been maintained? Thanks!

If the price is right for you then I say get them but don't just buy one or two seasons because you will wonder what is going to happen next. Get all 5 seasons and enjoy.

You'r not the only one that has never seen LOST. I have heard of it, seen previews for it but never watched it. So your not alone. But unlike you I have desire to see it but hey more power to you. From what I have heard it's a good series.

They're absolutely worth a blind buy. And they look stunning on Blu-ray. Especially the outdoor jungle scenes. They almost look 3d. Almost.

Lost is one of the best shows I've seen in terms of acting, direction, and enjoyability. I'd highly recommend it.

J/K

It is definitely worth the price, especially since it's on sale at Amazon! It's $34.99 - $36.99 (depending on the season), that's a steal!

MOST IMPORTANT!!!

Watch the seasons in order.

IMO LOST is the best show that has ever been on TV. Ever. It is also better than 90% of what arrives in theaters claiming to be movies. I am confident that it will be discussed for decades.

Blind buys are risky though...

Start with just the first season and go from there.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Lost is one of the most entertaining, addictive TV shows out there.

I liked them during initial run on TV and we have been watching them streamed on Netflix. I have considered buying them on BR, but the missus would only want to watch scense with Ian Somerhalder.

I watch plenty of television. Lost is just abysmally written. The only decent dramas on television right now are Big Love, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Sons of Anarchy.

This is a thread asking for opinions. Not just the opinions of people who like the show, but all opinions. Sorry to burst your bubble dude.
