Default Lost $20 upgrade to blu rebate question

Anybody know if the $20 rebate forms they offer to upgrade S1 or S2 of Lost to BD is included in all sets of S1 or S2, or just the ones with the little rebate sticker on it? I haven't seen the rebate sticker on any sets currently in stores and want to know if it's in the "non-stickered" versions. From what I gather the rebate is valid if it's purchased before sometime in June so I'm hoping it's in there. Hoping somebody knows.

Thanks.

Neither of my seasons had a sticker on the case but both of them had the insert for the rebate. FYI, my seasons came in that 5-pack from AMZ a little while ago.

Thanks. I went and picked up S1 and it had the form in it. Now I just need to find someone with S2 that can hook me up with the POP.

Does anyone have a link to check the status of these "Lost" rebates?

No stickers on my cases that came from Amazon, but indeed they had the rebate forms inside.

hmmm .... this makes them $15 each (minus whatever I get when I sell the DVDs). if they don't have the rebate form inside, is the form available online or something?
are they still on sale at Best Buy?

You can call Disney's customer service and usually they will mail you the rebate forms if they are not in the box.

Has anyone received their rebates yet? I'm wondering how long it takes on average.

Well, I received one of my rebates over the weekend, but I sent in two (one for each season).

Has anyone received both? Can you actually get 2 two rebates. On the rules its says "Limit (1) rebate per eligible title per household".

per eligible title means you should get one for each title. best of luck. rebates take forever ... if they were easy, everybody would mail them in. if it's hard, people won't do it and the company saves money.

Got my 2nd rebate in the mail yesterday. After the $40 in total rebates, I'm extremely happy I got the Lost S1-5 set for $70.

Do you know what needs to be mailed along with the rebate? I looked on my Lost S2 DVD for a proof of purchase or something and couldn't find anything.

Took me all of 5 minutes to fill out and address the forms for both season one and two. Received mine exactly in the time frame stated on the form, 6-8 weeks.

Certainly wouldn't consider the process to be "hard".

Wound up paying $69 for all 5 seasons after my $40 in rebates.

you wouldn't, but most people do. most mail-in rebates go unclaimed ... read it in a story about why retailers like them. it gets people to buy them, but most don't go through the hassle of mailing them in (or they forget). it gets people in the door with a discount that they might not have to pay.
mail-in rebates save them money over instant discounts.

Very true which is why I love em!

"Most" people are generally lazy and don't follow through on the most basic of tasks. If people find spending 5-10 minutes to get back $40 to be a "hassle" for them, then great.

There's nothing "hard" or complicated about it. Fill out the form, attach the POP's and the receipt, drop in the mail.

It simply leaves more promotional money available for those of us that can fill out a simple rebate form.

As long as you document everything, you're usually OK. It seems like the rebate processors do whatever they can to deny people's rebates. I've had to call a couple of times to agrue denied rebates, but once I tell them that I photocopied everything and can email them scans, they break down and pay out. In the case of Lost, $40 is definitely worth the "hassle".

Just got my checks in the mail, great deal and very easy. I purchased them from amazon so I can confirm their print out works for proof. Still time to get in on this deal, if you don't have the DVD upc there is always eBay where you can snag the upc then resell for what you have in them.
