Default posibility of better bass using 2 subs?

All right guys i posted pics of my system but i have an extra klh sub sitting in the closet. Is it possible i can hook that up to enhance the bass a little also would need some instruction or link to accomplish this. Help again is appreciated!

we have a number of stickies in our subwoofer section, that might be of assistance regarding your inquiry...

subwoofer characteristics, placement etc

Two is always better than one, even with subs ...check out the link jomari provided, it's full of info you'll enjoy reading....you will get better low frequency balance in your room by using 2 subs for a starter.

Yes i know about placement and that but i was curious if i can split the lfe output from the reciever to the 2 subs or am i defeating the purpose?

Part II of that link is what you need. It specifically talks about standing waves and the benefits of multiple subs over one.

Yes, you can use the old sub. If the driver is in bad shape, you can replace it with a new one for $30 to $100.

In order to use multiple subs, you need a Y adapter (1 male two female) and two long sub cables. You must also calibrate each one sperately and make sure that one does not over power the other one.

Read A Guide to Subwoofers (Part II): Standing Waves & Room Modes and A Guide to Bass Management. Make sure you also check Post #2 of Bass Management thread for information about cables you need.

aside from placement, it does give you a lot more information about subwoofers and understanding them... and yes, BD is the man, im 'tha other guy'
